Being Passionate – Bonnie Denault Hutto

I want to talk about being passionate about what you believe.  Passionate to the point some people will think you are crazy.  My passions come and go like the ebb and flow of the tides.  But when I am passionate about something, I tend to drive people crazy.  My mind gets so excited with ideas about this passion that it is like a jig saw puzzle and all the pieces fell on the floor.

Right now I pretty much only have two passions going on(with some smaller ones in between).  First is trying to get at least ONE Scholarship established through the Odd Fellows.  Fundraising is tough but our committee will keep on trying because our goal is to help students to be able to further their education.  The second is helping to get Fire Pals Community Book Boxes built and placed throughout St. Cloud.  This is such an amazing cause. It teaches our children about fire safety and also can bring the community together by getting them to help sponsor a box.  The firefighter who started the Fire Pal boxes, David Miller, is very passionate about this.  He has been a tremendous help to me with information about this project, and his passion is infectious.

Find something in your community to be passionate about!  Being passionate that you not only drive people a little crazy, but infect them with passion too!  Shut off the TV, get your butt out of the recliner(me, lol) and go make a passionate difference in your community!

  1. It’s pretty neat seeing something that someone is so passionate about come to life. David Miller has started something special here in St. Cloud and I can’t wait to see more of these boxes.
